Romeos friends, Benvolio and Mercutio, were walking through the streets of Verona, when they were met by a party of the Capulets with the enthusiastic Tybalt at their head. But Tybalt, who hated all Montagues as he hated hell, would hear no reason, but drew his weapon. Mercutio , who didnt enjoy of Romeos secret motive for desiring peace with Tybalt, looked upon his present forbearance with more disdainful words provoked Tybalt. And this carried him to his first quarrel with Tybalt. Mercutio and Tybalt fought, till Mercutio fell. Mercutio died, and Romeo unbroken his temper no longer. He turned to Tybalt and th ey fought till Tybalt was slain by Romeo. Soon after arrived the prince, Benvolio, who had been eyewitness to the fray, was commanded by the prince to relate the commencement exercise of it the crime. He told everything as he could without injuring Romeo. After a intercourse between The Prince and Lady Capulet, he pronounced his decision; now we do exile him hence.
