Montagu states that the reason wherefore the feeling of aft ermath is sustained is because of the geographic segregation of good deal on the levels of comm hotshot, society, and world-systems.The historic and contemporary use(s) and whimseys of the term pelt along be discussed below.Historical Uses and Notions of hurryIn its superior conception, lam pertains to a group of wad with genearned run averagel origin and is closely colligate to the concepts of caste, source, etc. go has been apply to tick off tidy sum of warpise and Caucasian 1s to confer the tress of classes, which embody very particular mixtures. Voegelin (1998) states that the study of the feeling of zip has spanned a period of about a century and a half, extractio n from the late seventeenth century to mid-19th century and claims that the stopment of red-brick history military services as the context for the emersion of the concept of course.Historically, the notion of prevailtrack is unrivaled that interweaved with the concepts of class, nation, volume, ethnic group, and the like, and is expressed by its diverse use, much(prenominal)(prenominal) as in the depiction of pitying lavation, superior wake, side stimulate, etc. hotfoot has appe ard in southwest European languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Italian) and has to a fault been used wide amongst European countries (England, France) (Llobera, 2003). It has already existed in prior periods of history and in diverse cultures. In point a strong unite was demonstrated among the European break ones back trade and the rise of racial discrimination in the West however, Llobera (2003) claims that knuckle downry is not a sufficient comment for the domain of racism during this period. The notion of career had already existed amongst Greeks and Romans during the antediluvian period, as they tremendous uncloudeds from blacks. However, such banknote did not relieve any probative social or cultural blow (Llobera, 2003), indicating the difference with how it was classically sensed and how it was perceived in its posterior notions, such as the 19th century scientific taxonomies. From the fourteenth century to the mid-17th century, the comment of expedite alter the expression of family relationship relationships and genealogy towards an accent on carnal appearance and flake colour. These multiple get a lineings of the notion of race mickle be summed up as organism associated with a transitional period during which a move took manoeuvre from a description of ethnicity in which some(prenominal) definitions co-existed with a large rude(a)(a) concept of race. During the renaissance period, the use of race was used to denote splitline s or lineage, such as the concept of a royal bloodline. In addition, religious renascences were satisfactory to transform blood identity element for example, a Christian who was a pagan by birth obtained a new racial identity upon conversion to Christianity (Spiller, 2011). Indeed, as keep back been clarified by many scholars (e.g. Spencer, 2006 James, 2011), the historical notions of race in the early youthful era is characterised by overlapping and even opposing concepts of religion and ethnicity. Historic events such as the slave trade and scientific racialism (Spiller, 20112) understandably trainm to make changed European attitudes toward race and identity. Ethnic identities view as been used to understand the initial modern notions of race (Spiller, 2011).In the mid-18th century, increasing noesis of the different appearances of the adult male being come afterd, so that race began to be silent in terms of clement physical variations. As such, humankind beings (in the chassis of physical forms the human body takes) were seen as parts deep down a larger systematic structure, which is temperament (Voegelin, 1998). It must be noted that as early as the 15th century, biological unity has already been brookd in the notion of race, as seen in the expression unity of blood in the Iberian Peninsula (Llobera, 2003).In the 20th century, specifically when the Nazi government came to existence, the notion of race has been presented as an super controversial term. It includes a range of situations affirming the high quality of one race over another. collect to its link to super negative lesson issues, the word racism elicits abuse and must be used with appropriate precaution (Llobera, 2003). One spate thitherfore see here that race has transformed gradually from one that depicts the classification of classes, ethnicity, religion, etc. to one that functions as a device to measure favourable position and inferiority. The notion of race i s influenced by declare oneselfions that it should be understood not as a thoughtfulness of biological fact but as a blame of prevailing racist ideologies (e.g. Ferguson, 2013 Beidler and Taylor, 2005). A exemplary account is that if race originates as a category that provides hierarchical privileges to a ruling status, thitherby make other groups inferior, accordingly those considered inferior, such as tidy sum of colour, are apparently pushed into this wear and tear (Beidler and Taylor, 2005).Contemporary Uses and Notions of stimulateThe uses and notions of race perk up trailed a different direction in the contemporary reasonableness of the term. The change in the concept is illustrated in Korean children who grew up in much often than not black and Hispanic communities in Los Angeles and who had more in joint with their black and Latino peers than with other Korean students. The same is seen amongst black suburban children in largely white communities who meet set more with the cultural values of their white peer group than with their ethnic brothers and sisters (Montagu, 1997). in spite of their different phenotypic characteristics, people fecal matter assume the identity of another group (race) by means of socialisation and re-socialisation. This is turnabout to the historical notion of race, which dealt largely with bloodlines or lineage, or with biological components, or with the perception of superiority and inferiority (e.g. Llobera, 2003 and Spiller, 2011). escape is called an find out in its contemporary use because of the increasing multi-racial social ordure worldwide that depicts its existence (Tattersall and DeSalle, 2011). For example, a evolution number or Ameri female genital organs have insisted on being regarded as belonging to more than one race and maintain their universal and private transnational identities. These movements are a reminder that hit racialised categories entirely overdo the complexities of culture and ethnicity (Montagu, 1997). According to Donald and Rattansi (2005), when issues of age, gender, class, and religion are made to conflate to culture, ethnicity, and multiculturalism, a realisation that would ensue is that the termination of single-race categorisation (being a dangerous myth) depart promote pick at prejudgments that attach foreign distinctions on people. Apparently, this argument is jibe to the idea that it is through with(predicate) socialisation and re-socialisation with different groups that people can assume a new race or a new identity (Montagu, 1997).Montagu (1997) presents the linked acress as one that brings the notion of race as an more and more dysfunctional charge to distinguish human beings. This is because of the presence of economic, political, and demographic factors that demand people to become competent interculturally (e.g. Donald and Rattansi, 2005). This propensity for intercultural competence blurs the distinction of people based on skin colour and other forms of identity. This is parallel to recognising the cultural and social integrating of people of various origins as the new steering of their cultural and social belongingness (e.g. Llobera, 2003 Spiller, 2011).Whitmarsh and Jones (2010) suggest that race and ethnicity function as categories of racial relationships, such as certain racial dualities where fair skin colour distinctions are dominant. anthropological research (e.g. Whitmarsh and Jones, 2010) reveals that ethnic identities are incompatible and numerous in ship bearing that cannot be reduced to racial classifications. Racial and ethnic categorisations are helter-skelter interwoven with gender and class in various discourses. These contemporary uses of race have produced overwhelming accounts of racial disparities, ranging from income, education, punishment, medical treatment, and so on, thereby leadership some theorists to suggest that the notion of race needs to be understoo d in the context of the link up notion of social justice (Whitmarsh and Jones, 2010). This is turnabout to the use of race as an consequent of socialisation and re-socialisation to a new culture, which Llobera, (2003) has anterior described. In bubbling and Weavers (2006) view, however, racial classifications (without regard to their purpose) tend to stigmatise. condescension efforts to correct the past, notions of racial inferiority may still be present, thereby leading(p) to a government activity of racial hostility. However, the reliable ways to discuss the notion of race are through remnants of earlier ways of sympathy this concept, reservation it easy to understand contemporary discussions about itself as a pale expression of its more supple discourse (Ernest, 2009). instinct race would avow of the fact that there are only trivial physical and biological differences amid groups referred to as races. at that place is no convince empirical sideslip that allows th e ascription of common intellectual, psychological, or moralistic characteristics to individuals based on skin colour. in that respect is certainly no good good case to serve as a justification of unjust treatment on such abrupt basis (e.g. Montagu, 1997). This is seen in the current understanding of this concept based on peoples integration to a different social and/or cultural group, with whom they identify. It has been in the main acknowledged that toughened stances can ensue if the contemporary notions of race are use to the early modern period. This is the reason why the term is normally enclosed with address marks and is highlighted by qualifications (e.g. Beidler and Taylor, 2005).ConclusionThis paper has provided a critical discussion of the historical and contemporary uses and notions of race. The term is characterised by unstable and modify social meanings, within which constant transformations frequently occur. An examination of 19th-century iconography revea led that the historical notion of race reflect the construction of classes. The Renaissance era indicated bloodlines or lineage for the term race. worship and ethnicity also characterised the historical notions of race in the early modern period. The modern era, on the other hand, power saw the development of this notion as one that originates from the human genetic diversity figure to the typological racial model. bleed as an experience is demonstrated in todays increasing multi-racial movement in various parts of the world. criticize prejudgments that attach digressive distinctions on people would be the event of the integration between issues of gender, age, class, and religion on one hand, and culture, ethnicity, and multiculturalism on the other. hotfoot is a dysfunctional way to distinguish people because of the presence of economic, political, and demographic aspects that require them to develop intercultural competences. Moreover, the contemporary notion of race indicate s that there is no persuade empirical and estimable case that justifies ascription of certain qualities to some individuals and treat them inequitably as a result. accelerate, in its contemporary use, can mean a result of socialisation and re-socialisation of people with other groups with whom they identify, regardless of age, gender, ethnic identities, and the like.ReferencesBeidler, P. All the achievements certainly came as a result of the leadership attributes and style adopted the company leaders (Duthel, 2008).Therefore, there are several leadership traits that I would expect of the leaders of Google Inc. Firstly, I would prefer them to be democratic. A democratic leader in this regard means a leader who allows participation and consensus in decision-making. Through democratic leadership style, the company would be able to engage it employees on matters relating to the company which will certa inly be beneficial in move the company to prosperity. The benefit of engaging employees in matters relating to the company is because employees of Google are certainly the ones who deal directly with the companys customers and as such understands their needs and where they compulsion improvements effected. Democratic leaders will, therefore, benefit from the consensus building as far as running of the organization is concerned (Adeniyi, 2007).Secondly, the leader needs to be one with a vision. In this regard, the leaders of Google Inc. should be one who is confident and belief of what he or she is doing, with a clear vision of what he or she wants the company to go. This characteristic is important because such a leader would be able to inspire the employees towards the attainment of such a vision for the prosperity of the organization. Truly, a leader without a clear vision cannot inspire people to follow his or her commands (Adeniyi, 2007).The leader should also be one who inspi res his followers rather than command. Research

The Role of Economics - Essay ExampleAccording to Schumacher, economics plays a central role in determining as well as setting the criteria that is used to determine what is economic or not. There are many factors that are involved when one talks most the economy of a given region. Therefore, economists will be in place to determine how the factors can be brought together to ensure that there is maximum business or the returns that are realized are at the peak. An economist will therefore be given the role of deciding whether a given predilection or investment is economic or uneconomic. This is done by weighing the inputs that need to be put and the returns that are to be realized after the estimation has been actualized. Schumacher (1973) notes that when an economist makes the verdict above the questions that arise are on the criteria that was used to make the final verdict. This should therefore be explainable by the economist to a layman or another individual who does not have a sound understanding of the subject. On top of that people are interested in understanding how the verdict means. Can one continue with the investment or should they halt it at the grounds? Are there any options that can be adopted and make the idea work? All these need to be addressed by the economist. Schumacher goes back in history to bring the concept of chairwoman which was founded for political economy at Oxford about 190 years ago. The agent principal theory is applied in various contexts such as employment and veridical estate. In case of employment a principal agent relationship arises when a owner of c particular social club hires a manager to charm or operate on his behalf while dealing with third parties. HY 1110-08F-2, AMERICAN HISTORY I (HY1110-08F-2) - Essay ExampleThe rituals of behavior which governed blacks chthonic Jim Crow included such norms as restrictions on blacks and whites eating together, prohibitions on blacks shaking hands with whites, right-of-way at intersections for whites, the non-usage of titles of respect or courtesy for blacks, expecting blacks to remove hats or caps when talking with whites, and other customs and standards of behavior which unequivocally demonstrated the inferiority of African-Americans. This racial etiquette could be violated at the risk of life and family, as the curse of lynching was very real. In addition to the above, many southern states passed legislation which excluded blacks from public transport, facilities and some neighborhoods. There were statutes which provided separate train cars for blacks, reserved seats in coaches for whites, denied blacks the right to vote through discriminatory clauses, literacy tests and poll taxes, esta blished separate schools, rest rooms, water fountains, telephone booths and burial grounds, mandated segregated rooms at libraries, prisons, hospitals and bars, and stringently banned interracial marriages. Most of the laws were directed towards the prohibition of social interaction between the two races. The Jim Crow laws may be considered to have ended by the mid 1960s. Gradually, America has universally acknowledged that racial discrimination in any form is unjust, and corrective justice, as implied in affirmative action and patch have gathered support. Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring Scrapbook Essay

Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring Scrapbook - Essay ExampleThe benefit of experiential larn is to give learners active involvement and better problem solving skills through the effort (Merriam, Caffarella and Baumgartner 2007). This type of learning involves a direct encounter with phenomenon being canvas rather than just thinking about solutions to a problem (Brookfield 1990, p.71). I felt privileged to understand how experiential learning can be dear by giving employees a purpose for learning. So, I thought about experiential learning and how it could be applied to a real-world organisation. This would be a life-sustaining learning process especially in an organisation where there is no real moral accountability and in a decentralised billet that demand better human capital. Some organisations need positivist learners, those who understand moral accountability and its importance to business growth and reputation. Many organisations need employees and managers that consider moral philosophy and morals. Much of this cannot always be learned through instruction and lecturing. For example, if many Wall Street firms had been more up front and ethical about their business practices in recent years it is likely the Occupy Wall Street situation would not have occurred. I think that experiential learning, such as single-valued function playing, would give employees more knowledge about ethical behaviours by exposing them to different situations where ethical responses are needed. I was able to review more question data on experiential learning and found through the analysis that it has more positive gains than negative outcomes. Businesses need to have a culture that is employ to ethics and morality as described the lecture materials. According to Fairholm (2009), a leader must inspire vision and mission, be visionary and also memorise others through inspiration. This is known as transformational leadership style. If more organisations such as Wall Street investment firms had moral accountability learned through role playing, they would be better off in representing the moral interests of shareholders and other stakeholders. Role playing as experiential learning actually creates more interest in learning than through just instruction (Poorman 2002). I really found this to be interesting in experiential

Short History on Cyber Space Essay Example for Free

Short History on Cyber Space EssayThe cyberspace has been designed as a pool of endless information for anyone who has access. With its introduction in the mid 1990s, it has vastly changed the way we do business, catch all in all kinds of data and the way we communicate in the ground today. With its sheer potential, we discombobulate created the most powerful tool of our modern day applied science. In a series of memos that were first written in 1962, by an MIT expert of the name of J. C.R Licklider, he had envisioned a type of network in which a set of computers were globally interconnected in sharing information and anyone could access data from anyone of these terminals (Leiner, Cerf, Kahn Clark, 1962-1974).The meshing society believe that the Internet should be used by everyone freely, meaning that the number one objective is to promote the development, security and stability of the World spacious Web. Malicious attacks such as viruses, spams, spyware and other vis cous attacks on hardware and software have become well known wide spread by the web. These attacks often result in irreparable damage and abuse the very freedom the Internet principles were based on (Internet security, 2012). Many aspects of our lives include the electronic transferring of data through some means of electronic devices such as cell phones, computers and other mobile devices such as emails and text messaging. Everything from traffic signals, car technology and airport/airplane navigation has been linked to the usage of transferring vital information via the web and through other communication channels. Government data such as birth records, social security documentation and tax records overly drive to be protected. This information is very confidential and establishes the identity of millions of people in the world today. What exactly is cyber security? In its broadest rendering, it is the protection of information and computer systems in we rely on, whether at wor k or at school. Information is crucial and it whitethorn not be altered incorrectly. It should only be shared with the appropriate users and intentional parties. There are, of course, legion(predicate) different levels of security. The information must only be accessible to those who need it and have been intended to see it, for example, medical records. They should have a different level of security and only be made on hand(predicate) to those who need this information such as the appropriate doctors, hospitals, insurance companies and other medical staff. These records need to be well protected to retain anyone from making unauthorised changes resulting in harmful activities.Cyber security is becoming increasingly more important, be eccentric every day, new attack methods are being launched and thousands of web pages are discovered infinitely in the involvement of illegal data breaches. Several examples of types of electronic infections include Denial-of-Service, which includ es the actual shut-down of many legitimate websites and denies access to its existing user base, rendering many users unable to access important information. some other type of malicious attacks is Malworms or Trojan Horses these are viruses spread by email and instant messaging, sometimes unaware by the user. They may be downloaded simply by visiting the ill-timed websites. Botnets or Zombies use several(prenominal) computers to launch the attack and steal information across a spread of terminals, copying the evil software from one device to the next. Social network attacks are in any case on the rise and sometimes a link may be posted to steal personal information or download a virus hidden by the attacker. Users inherent trust in posting vital information for their friends is what causes these social networks to be prime targets for the attackers (Internet security, 2012).Today, 70% of large companies rank viruses and hacking ahead of fraud and animal(prenominal) break-ins a s their big(p)est threat. The importance of protecting vital electronic data is more important today than it has ever been. Whether it is the stealing of information, the planting of malicious malware or simply the intention to search and destroy, hackers have become the nations number one threat in creating immense damage to businesses of all sizes and nominate severely invasion a companys integrity or capability to perform at its peak potential. IT security has now been lay very high on the risk management agenda of any major corporation (Why cyber security, 2010).There are several examples of attacks on computers to obtain private information. One of many examples involves a 20 year old kid, by the name of Christopher Maxwell who created a 50,000 computer zombie network that caused well-nigh $135,000 in damage by infecting a Seattle hospital and various military locations. The attack shut down not only the finance departments, but also attacked computers in the hospitals inte nsive care unit, seriously compromising many patients welfare (OBrien, 2007).With the high demands of IT versatility, companies are more and more in need of more flexible hardware and software to cater to the ever growing demands of data transfer and information storage capabilities. The technology is becoming more groundbreaking and creates endless opportunities for todays businesses however this also creates more opportunity for cyber criminals to launch attacks and become more proficient in succeeding with new gateways to cause great harm or steal valuable data.A new recent trend in stealing data is when traveling employees use these so called hot-spots to obtain internet access. Clever hijackers have found ways to throw up splash pages. These splash pages track user data, credit card flesh out used to pay for the wireless service and other information that may be used to harm the employee and/or the company the person works for. This also applies to home networks. Usually, ind ividuals do not invest into the same type of security that companies may do, making these home networks viable for attacks. This is very crucial, because the home computer can become infected with vicious malware and introduced into the workplace or vital information can be stolen that is confidential to the company (Why cyber security, 2010).It is now known that the mystic service maintains its own Electronic Crimes Task Force (ECTFs), which focus on identifying and locating cyber criminals involved in all types of criminal activity such as bank fraud, sensitive data breaches and other cyber related issues. The DHS (Department ofHomeland Security) prevented the potential losses of nearly $1.5 Billion through cyber crime and brought charges against 72 individual cyber criminals for their range or indirect participation of wide-spreading the use of children pornography (Combat cyber crime,n.d.).In most recent news, President Obama is considering issuing an executive order that woul d require the DHS to desexualise a set of guidelines and rules in the combat against cyber criminal activity. In April of 2012 (this year) the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) was introduced into the House of Representatives, but failed to pass the Senate due to silence issues, shows how serious Americans are on creating a plan of attack. Even though CISPA was not passed, the executive order that would be issued would not surpass the privacy issues that were the occasion for CISPA not passing the Senates approval. The reason the CISPA bill did not pass is that several privacy advocacy groups oppsed the bill strongly because it would have allowed private companies to move or exchange user data with the federal government for critical cyber security information (Koebler, 2012). Cyber security is the processes and practices designed to protect programs, networks and computers (and other devices) from malicious attacks and unattended access. It represents the bo dy of technologies to understand and fight back in the event of unlawful damage and unnecessary harm (cybersecurity, 2010).The conclusion is to do our best to try and prevent as much cyber criminal activity as possible. There a few things that companies and individuals can do. Stop. Think. Connect. These basic rules and guidelines have been measured by the industry and several help factors have been evaluated. The first of many basic rules is to keep your firewall and security software (ani-virus programs) up-to-date. Computer viruses and hackers are like any other common grippe virus, they evolve and become stronger with each step in their evolutionary path. Constantly changing your passwords on your devices/software is also recommended. On average (at a minimum) these passwords should be changed at least once every three months. The second recommendation is to shop online with the utmost care. Make sure you are on a HTTPS (Hypertext tape drive Protocol Secure) website when submit ting personal information such as credit card numbers and bank account records or transactions. Another is laptop security. If a laptop is stolen, make sure you have the proper software installed. There is tracking software available to pinpoint where you laptop is and there is also software available that can remotely access your computers files, erase them on the stolen device, and then place them in a secure data center for recovery.Another important tip is to avoid spam and scams. Questions every email of which the origin you do not know or trust, because simply by opening the wrong email can one access a virus or other harmful software. Social networking has become huge and it is also a great tool to obtain and research valuable information. It is highly recommended that not all data be put out there for one to see. This information is sometimes easily accessible to the wrong individuals. Also, dont just open any attachments or click on any suspicious links. Download with cauti on, because the Internet has a lot of harmful software out there that can cause serious damage to either your hardware or data files (and software).Referencescybersecurity. Britannia Airways and Virgin Upper Essay Example for Free

Britannia Airways and Virgin velocity EssayIll spark off by reporting on the Virgin Atlantic Upper Class suite website. To start with you ar prompted to select what country you live in. This is so the person who enters the website stand get it in the relevant language. To start with, you get to click on the antithetical things on the plane, and a menu appears in this you get to select which item you want to read about. On the seafaring menu on the vertex of the page, if you click on the box saying Experience you are able to find a virtual tour of the different features of the plane. On this page thither are 3 sub-menus. These are Reaction this is reports on what other professional plane experts have said about it, the arcminute one is Have your say this is obviously where the explorers of the sight can leave their feelings and their views about the site, and lastly there is Response this is where the members of Virgin Airways Flying Club have written what they think of it and what they would do to improve it. The next section on the navigation bar is The Facts. This is alone about the de score, and how they came up with it, how it compares to other aeroplanes, the essential facts, and all questions answered. This helps people to get a good feel for the aeroplane and its features before they consider booking a flight on the bracingly designed Upper Class plane. If you have already booked a flight, you can check details on the Internet if you enter you departure City and arrival city. You can do this under the Routes section. There is an Offers section, scarce at the time of producing this report an offer had just finished, but a nonher one was yet to start. If you go onto the Competitions push on the navigation bar, you can do a quiz about the new aeroplane and if you answer them all correctly you can win a pair of tickets to New York on a Virgin Upper Class plane. The next icon is called Loyalty Programme in this area you can sign up to become a m ember of the Virgin Flying Club. There is also a section called E-Cards where you can send them to your friends, to show them how beautiful the new Upper Class Plane is. If you move down to the bottom of the page them you can select Book a Flight. This was unuseable when I went on there, but it was only because the site is quite new and they are just putting on the program that will aid with online flight bookings. The pages are easily navigable, and exploiter friendly, even for those who are only beginners with computers. There are loads of pictures, and the background to the site is black and dark purple the writing is red and white. It looks very tenderness catching, and would make you want to go back to the site again. They currently only go to New York, Los Angeles and a couple of other places, but the places in the States they fly front to is going to increase as the new improved plane flies more, and more are obviously made. You get a T. V, a bed in which they will give yo u bedding on request, refreshments and food available when you request them, video playing facility, and much, much more I am instantaneously going to review the Britannia Airways website. When you first go onto the website you are greeted by a bright blue screen, with the word Britannica in red letters on the top left corner. There are also 2 blocks of three colours on the page. There is a picture in the middle, which changes to give you different views of the aeroplane. If you scroll down, after this there is a booking form for booking a flight. I decided to fill this in however the airport I fly from most frequently was not on the list. (London Heathrow) I filled in the rest of the details. However, it was not easy as it would not let me enter the data quickly, it was slow. Then it too quite a while to search the records and find what I had requested. Then I realised a new page had appeared and asked me to move into the data. I got annoyed On this one it had London Heathrow but only had 4 destinations that were flown to from there. I got annoyed and left it. I clicked on the icon called Pre-Bookable Options here you could consider to order Champagne, go into the VIP lounge, special meals, extra leg room or get Executive Check-In. However, when I clicked on them no estimated prices for these run were given. This was not good, as if you were a family on a budget because you would not really want to phone up and ask as they powerfulness push you into getting a service that you cant afford. There is a bit called In-flight Shopping this is what is available when they go along the plane with the trolley. They have a Check in and Advice icon, where it tells people who maybe have never flown with Britannia before, or those who are not familiar with airports the process to undertake, before during and after you are in the airport. They have many different planes all with different seat capacities. The seat capacities are as follows 757-200 235seats 767-200 274se ats 767-200 290seats 767-300 315seats 767-300 328seats The i 10. 00 charge is for Select your Seat only and essential be booked in conjunction with seats together, extra or premium seating. Combined price from i 20. 00 amends per adult (from i 27. 00 return per adult long haul) and from i 15. 00 return per child (from i 20. 00 return per child long haul). The price varies dependent on your choice of seating junto and the length of the flight. It also has a section called Can I Take it this includes what size your allowed for hand luggage, and how much your luggage should weigh. This is very interesting. There is also a lot more relevant information. There are not many pictures. It is quite easy to navigate. The flight destinations are mainly in Europe. Food is available on longer flights. After carefully studying both websites, I prefer the Virgin Upper Class website for the design, interesting features and layout. However I would choose the Britannia website for the most relevant information. If Virgin put some interesting features on their website, and Britannia put some more pictures, and so different colours apart from Blue, then I would give them both 10 out of 10. as it stands I would give Virgin 9 and Britannia 8 1/2 as it is not that far behind, but at the end of the day the Virgin website is designed for business personnel and the Britannia website is designed for families. So both I think are good for the audience they are aimed upon.
